*What is binaural recording?
It is a stereo recording method. Binaural means "both ears."
By using a dummy head or simulator that reproduces the human head and its acoustic effects to record in an environment close to the vibrations that reach the eardrum, you can create a realistic sound that makes you feel as if you are there.
Features of EM4201
Easy binaural recording
For full-scale binaural recording, dummy heads and dummy ears are necessary, but they are expensive and the equipment is large, so it may be difficult to get started.
The EM4201 is a microphone that does not require a dummy head and dummy ears, but is placed directly on the user's ears, and can easily create a binaural sound source with a realistic presence.
A variety of 3D sound sources
The shape of the ears and head is different for everyone. Even when listening to the same sound, the way it is heard will differ depending on the time difference in the sound reaching the left and right ears, the difference in volume, and the shape of the head and earlobe.
Because the EM4201 is worn in the user's own ears, it can record in an environment close to the sound heard by the user's own ears, and when played back, the user can feel the same sense of distance and direction as when the sound was recorded.
3WAY installation method
Hook A can be attached directly to glasses, and Hook B can be set securely on the ear.
With three different attachment methods to choose from, you can easily create a binaural sound source without being noticeable.
Equipped with in-house high-quality microphone components
"Primo Microphone" uses a highly sensitive, high S/N microphone unit developed in-house.
Since the ear canal is not blocked, you can monitor the actual sound.
Since there is no need to insert a microphone into your ear, you can record the sound you hear exactly as you hear it.
Wind noise reduced by 10 times
By attaching the included dedicated windshield, you can reduce wind noise when using outdoors.
You can record immediately using your own recording equipment.
3.5 mm stereo plug requires plug-in power. This is available on the microphone socket of almost every recorder and camera.
