FEL 3.5 Series Microphone Preamplifiers
A range of tiny preamplifiers for use with portable recorders and cameras with microphone inputs. The preamp is powered from Plug in Power and provides 20dB of gain. They have no switches, controls or batteries and are simplicity to use. See what the 3.5 Series do in Rob Danielson's report to the NatureRecordist Yahoo Group.
How do they sound?
This is a recording made with an Roland/Edirol R-09 recorder and a Sony ECM-717 microphone. The first 10 seconds are the mic straight into the recorder. The rest of the recording is with a 3.5 Series preamp inserted into the circuit. The level of the second part is reduced by 20 dB to equalise the programme material level.
