These microphones are a stereo pair, when plugged into a Zoom F3 recorder or similar one points 90 degrees left and one points 90 degrees right.
We have made these mics following customer requests. Please note that the microphone capsules are omni-directional. To get a good stereo recording with omni-directional mics in open air a spacing of 40-50 cm is recommended. We would recommend a Baffled Stereo setup to get the best effect.
When plugged into a Zoom F3 recorder the capsule spacing is 14 cm. There is a gap between the microphones of 4mm for inserting a baffle if required.
The Pluggy EM272Z1 uses the acclaimed Primo EM272Z1 capsule, made in Japan. This capsule is extremely low noise (typical 14 dBA self noise) and high sensitivity (-28 dB).
Our own unique electronic design provides a regulated voltage to the capsule whether the unit is powered from 12, 24 or 48 volt phantom
Wind protection, as listed below the Rycote Baseball with Windjammer is an excellent combination and brings -40dB of wind noise attenuation, across the spectrum.
